The Board of Trustees of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has approved the appointment of Professor Owunari Georgewill as the University’s 9th Vice-Chancellor.

The announcement was made on Friday by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Port Harcourt, Senator Andrew Uchendu.

Senator Uchendu said Professor Owunari of the Department of Pharmacology emerged from twelve other candidates for the university’s top post.

He said the council complied with the provisions of the University Act regarding the selection of the vice-chancellor.

According to him, “After interviewing about 12 candidates, we found three of them nominable and on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari, and following the selection panel’s report, the board approved the appointment of Professor Georgewill Owunari as 9th Vice-Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt.

Speaking to reporters after being announced as VC, Professor Owunari vowed to accompany everyone during his tenure.

  4. If accepted, click on the link ‘Click here to verify your payment to generate Remita payment invoice’.
  5. Bring the bill to the bank for payment
  6. Return to this page after payment to verify your payment by clicking on the link Click here to verify your payment acceptance ‘
  7. If your payment is verified successfully, you will be able to print your invoice
