Application Deadline for Nigerian Army Biu University (NAUB) for fresh and stale undergraduates for the 2021/2022 academic session.

The management of the Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB) has announced the registration deadline for the 2021/2022 academic session.

NAUB registration deadline

The management of the University observed that there are many students who are not yet registered for the academic session 2021/2022 who attend conferences / other academic activities within the University.

The Directorate had set the deadline for student enrollment as follows:

  • Returning Students – August 10, 2021, after which any returning student who did not register for the session by the deadline would be expelled from the University.
  • Fresh student – August 5, 2021, after which any new student who has not registered by the deadline will forfeit their admission to the University.

Any returning / fee student who has not registered for the session must pay a late registration fee of 5,000.00 from Wednesday July 28, 2021.

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), School of Post Graduate Studies, is now selling admission forms in its various postgraduate programs for the academic session 2021/2022. See how to get ATBU Postgraduate Form, admission conditions and duration below.

ATBU Graduate Studies Admission Form

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants for admission into various full-time and part-time postgraduate programs at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi for the 2021/2022 academic session.

Postgraduate programs are available in Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Science (M.Sc.), Master of Tech. Education (M.Tech. Ed), Master of Engineering (M.Eng.), Master of Technology (M.Tech.), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Health Management (MHM), Master of Accounting and Finance (MAFS), Master of Entrepreneur and Business Development (MEBD) and Graduate Diploma (PGD).

Admission requirements for ATBU postgraduate programs

Who can apply for ATBU postgraduate programs?

  1. Graduate Diploma (DPI)
    1. All applicants must meet registration requirements including English Language and Mathematics credit pass at O ​​level. That is WAEC, NECO, NABTEB.
    2. Graduates from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University or other recognized universities with at least a third class honors degree.
    3. HND holders with a lower minimum credit from recognized institutions.
    4. Holders of any other qualification as well as relevant field experience deemed acceptable by the University.
  2. Master’s degree
    1. All applicants must meet registration requirements including English language and math credit at O ​​level. That is WAEC, NECO, NABTEB.
    2. Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University graduates who obtained the approved first degree with at least the second class with distinction (Lower Division).
    3. Applicants with an approved Honors University degree (GPA of 3.00 and above on a 5.00 point scale) or GPA of 2.40 to 2.99 inclusive plus three years after graduation.
    4. Applicants with a third class honors degree plus five years after graduation.
    5. Appropriate graduate degree from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University or other recognized universities with at least credit achievement.
    6. Candidates whose diplomas are not ranked with an average of C or above
    7. Applicants who possess a higher national degree with at least one credit card from recognized institutions and at least one graduate degree credit card from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in relevant fields.
    8. Applicants may be required to take a qualifying examination either before approval for enrollment or at an appropriate stage in their coursework or research.
  3. Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) and Masters by Research Diplomas
    1. Graduates from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University or other recognized institutions who have obtained the approved first degree with at least the second class (Upper Division)
    2. A good second-class specialist degree and considerable relevant industrial experience.
  4. Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.)
    1. All applicants must meet registration requirements including English Language and Mathematics credit pass at O ​​level. That is WAEC, NECO, NABTEB.
    2. Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University graduates who hold an appropriate master’s degree for the fields of study offered
    3. Graduates from other recognized universities with a master’s degree with a GPA of at least 3.50 on a scale of 5.00
    4. Candidates for the Doctorate programs may be required to pass a qualifying examination and / or undergo a probationary period not exceeding 12 calendar months.

* Note that the course duration for the Graduate Diploma in Engineering is a minimum of 24 months and a maximum of 48 months.

How to apply for the ATBU Graduate Studies Admission Form

Application forms must be completed online from September 1, 2021. Applicants must submit their application forms online with scanned copies of their credentials.

  • Make sure that only a valid and working email address and phone number should be used, as subsequent correspondence will go through these channels.
  • Please ensure that the online form is carefully and correctly completed, as corrections to personal information or change of course after the online application is completed and submitted will incur a fee.
  • It is mandatory for applicants to make arrangements with their previous institutions to forward a hard copy of their transcript to the head of the department of their proposed programs. No candidate will be considered for admission without a valid transcript.
  • Applicants should upload a pre-proposal or synopsis and ensure that a hard copy is mailed to the department head of your proposed program.
  • Applicants without NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate do NOT need to apply.
  • Applicants for admission to professional master’s programs must pass a selection test on dates to be announced by the faculty.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS AND CLOSING DATE: All applications will close on November 30, 2021.

FEATURES OF THE PART-TIME REGULAR PROGRAMME:

Student will:

 Attend classes and take courses together with their regular counterparts

 Write Examination alongside their regular counterparts

 Obtain first degree in 4years as their regular counterparts

 Have benefits of regular Academic environment

 Can apply for hostel accommodation

 May not participate in NYSC, but will on graduation be issued certificate of exclusion from National Youth Service Corps.

NB: All part-time students are required to validate their admission into the university by registering with JAMB.  

Thereafter the university will complete the admission process with JAMB in CAPS to enable all part-time student obtain admission letter from JAMB. All part-time students  will be informed when the JAMB portal is ready for  registration with JAMB.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR PART-TIME REGULAR
AND WEEKEND PART-TIME
Five (5) Credit passes in SSCE, NECO and NABTEB obtained in
not more than two (2) sittings including English Language and
Mathematics, three of which should be relevant to the course
the student wishes to offer.
SECTION 2: HND CONVERSION TO DEGREE PROGRAMMES:
One Academic Year (Two Semesters) Post HND B.Sc., B.A, B.Tech
Degrees in Any of the above related courses in the various faculties
of the university (1-6).

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR HND CONVERSION TO DEGREE PROGRAMMES
1. Possession of HND Certificate from a recognized Polytechnic or Institution or Recognized Professional Accounting Bodies, e.g Fellow of ICAN, ANAN, ACCA or any other professional
accounting qualification. (This applies to accounting candidates only).
2. Completion or exemption and/or exclusion from NYSC where applicable
3. Candidates must possess credits in English Language and Mathematics at O’level

METHOD OF APPLICATION FOR PART-TIME REGULAR/WEEKEND PART-TIME AND HND CONVERSION TO DEGREE PROGRAMMES
Application is online through the university website. After creating account on the registration page, candidates are expected to log in to the university portal with their username and password and continue registration/payment process. Admission form for HND Conversion to Degree Programmes is N31, 200.00 only and Part-time Weekend /Regular Part-time Programmes is N26, 200.00 only, payable
through the university portal. No account number is required. All transactions are secured through the university online portal. (Check procedure for online registration).

3. On the page that appears, click on REGISTER FOR 2021/2022 PART-TIME
ADMISSION EXCERCISE

  •  Fill the form correctly and click on Create account.
  • An E-mail containing your login details will be sent to you. Your login

details will also be displayed on the page for you to copy and take note of.
4. Click on Login and enter your username and password sent to your email
5. You will be prompted to change your password. Save your new password.
6. Confirm your Invoice and click on Proceed to Pay
7. You will be redirected to Interswitch payment platform, enter your card details and make your payment conveniently. For security purposes, your card details are NOT stored in our secured portal.
8. After successful payment, click on ‘Update Personal Data’ menu on the left,UPDATE ALL FIELDS on your registration form and submit.
9. Print your Registration Slip and log out.
10.Save your login details. Your username and your password are your personal credentials to access your profile in the university portal.
