LASU Sandwich degree admission form, 2021

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the underlisted Sandwich Degree Programmes in Lagos State University, Ojo.

2.0: FACULTY OF EDUCATION

B.SC [ED]. B.A [ED] and B.ED: FOUR [4] AND FIVE [5] YEARS SANDWICH DEGREE PROGRAMMES IN THE FOLLOWING COURSES:

B.Sc Education: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Human Kinetics Sports and Health Education, Health Education, Educational Technology and Computer Science Education

B.Sc. Education: Economics, Political Science, Geography, Business Education, Accounting Education and Educational Management

B.A. Education: History, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Religious Studies, French, English, Yoruba and Arabic

B.Ed: Early Childhood and Primary Education, Guidance and Counseling Education

3.0: GENERAL BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Five [5] ‘0’ Level Credit relevant to chosen Course of Study or TCII Merit Passes at not more than two [2] sittings and two [2] of the subjects at ‘A’ Level or NCE Merit Pass in relevant areas

A University/Polytechnic two [2] -year Diploma Certificate in the relevant area obtained at not less than Merit level.

Credit Pass in English Language and Mathematics is compulsory for all courses

3.1: SPECIFIC SUBJECT AREA REQUIREMENTS

English Major: Credit Pass in Literature in English and English Language at ‘0’ Level or its equivalent.

Economic Major: Credit Pass in English Language, Mathematics and Economics.

Human Kinetics Sports and Health Education; Political Science Major: At least a Credit Pass in English Language and Mathematics at ‘0’ Level or its equivalent

Health Education Major: [i] A Credit Pass in English Language and Mathematics [ii] Holders of Staff Registered Nurse and Midwifery Certificates, Environmental Health, Diploma from School of Health Technology Plus five [5] ‘0’ Level Credit Pass to include English Language and Mathematics are also eligible.

Mathematics and Science Major: Credit Pass in Mathematics and English Language

4.0: NOTE

ICAN [Part II] CIS [Part II] are acceptable for Economics

Holders of Certificate issued by recognized Arabic Institution who may not have written Arabic at SSCE/GCE ‘0’ Level will be considered for admission subject to the fulfillment of other entry requirements, NCE [Arabic] at Merit Level is also acceptable.

LASU accepts any other Arts/Social Sciences Subject in lieu of Yoruba Language.

Diploma in Health Education, Environmental Health, Physical Education, Social Work, Health Administration, Certificate in Coaching, Advanced Diploma in Sports from Nigerian Institute for Sports with at least overall grades of Merit Plus five [5] ‘0’ Level Credit/TC II Merit Pass to include English Language and Mathematics are also acceptable for Human Kinetics Sports and Health Education.

5.0: COURSE DURATION

5:1: FOUR [4] YEAR DEGREE PROGRAMME

The four [4] year Degree Programme is designed for candidates with NCE/ND Merit/Upper Credit grade and above.

5.2: FIVE [5] YEAR DEGREE PROGRAMME

The five [5] year Degree Programme is designed for candidates with WASC/SSCE/TC II and NCE who fall short of entry qualification for the four [4] year Sandwich Degree Programme.

6.0: METHOD OF APPLICATION

Application Form is obtainable from Lagos State University, Ojo. Website: www.lasu.edu.ng on the payment of Ten Thousand Naira [N10,000:00] only, as application fee. However, candidates are requested to submit a copy of their online application forms and appropriate ‘0’ Level scratch card[s] to the Directorate of Sandwich Degree Programme.

7.0: CLOSING DATE

Closing date of application is Six [6] weeks from the date of this publication

8.0: PLEASE NOTE: Entrance Examination and Interview will hold on Saturday, 14th August 2021 at 3-in-1 lecture theatre (Hall 1 and 2) by 8:00 am. Candidates are advised to come along with their writing materials, originals and photocopies of all their credentials.

The management of Zamfara State University, Talata-Mafara (ZAMSUT) has published the registration procedure for students admitted during the 2020/2021 academic session.

ZAMSUT registration procedure for newly admitted students 2020/2021

  1. Candidates admitted to Zamfara State University, Talata Mafara are: first and foremost. required to connect to http://www.sis.zamsut.edu.ng/ using their Jamb registration number as “username” and “password
  2. when logging in, candidates must click on “My account” to change their password if necessary, otherwise go to the next step:
  3. click on the “Candidate” tab, then on “Proof of Admission” where he / she will be congratulated on having obtained admission and will be asked to proceed and generate a rebate invoice for payment of the acceptance fee , verification fees and TSHIP fees ”for a total of seven thousand naira (7.000.00 N) payable only to a commercial bank:
  4. After you make the payment, please return to the website to verify your payment by clicking the “Verify Payment” link
  5. If your payment is verified successfully. you will be able to print your payment receipt for the Acceptance, verification and TSHIP fees; then
  6. proceed with the confirmation of admission Place / Center for the selection and collection of the confirmation letter:
  7. after receipt of the admission confirmation, connect to the website to generate the remittance invoice for the payment of “Registration fees payable to any commercial bank:
  8. After you make the payment, return to the website to verify your payment by clicking the “Verify Payment” link, and then print the payment receipt:
  9. obtain the registration form, complete and return for signature:
  10. submit payment receipts and form 02 to the scholarship department for documentation

  6. April 25, 2022 – May 27, 2022: Inter-season break and admission of new candidates for a new session (5 weeks)
  7. Date of resumption of the academic session 2021/2022 to be determined
