The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) is now accepting applications from students from colleges, universities and similar academic institutions for its 2021 internship program. The deadline for submitting applications is August 31, 2021.

Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Internship Program Calls for Applications – The aim of the IsDB internship is to provide students from colleges, universities and similar academic institutions with the opportunity to engage in an active learning environment and gain hands-on experience for complete their academic learning.

IsDB has a variety of opportunities that will provide you with a unique experience and a challenge of working in the development bank. An internship at the IDB is a great way to gain hands-on work experience, learn more about your future career, and network with professionals from around the world. Most importantly, the IsDB internship gives you the opportunity to help others achieve an acceptable standard of living and social conditions. The 2021 internship session will be online. Interns will not be required to come to the office.

Who can apply for the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) internship program

For the internship, the candidate must:

  • Be a full-time undergraduate or masters student at an accredited university or college.
  • A minimum average:
    • B + according to the American academic system or 3 out of 4 GPA.
    • Good according to the Arab education system.
    • Lower second class honors according to the British system.
    • Fairly well according to the French system.
  • Have an official request from the university / college specifying the internship need and approved by the university registrar / graduates council.
  • Have a good command of the English language (written and oral).
  • Have no previous internship at the IDB and its affiliates.

For Co-Op, the candidate must:

  • Be a full-time undergraduate or masters student at an accredited university or college.
    • A minimum average:
      • B + according to the American academic system or 3 out of 4 marks.
      • Good according to the Arab education system.
      • Lower second class honors according to the British system.
      • Fairly well according to the French system.
  • Have an official request from the University specifying the need for the Co-Op.
  • Have a good command of the English language (written and oral).
  • Be able to give a 10 to 15 minute presentation on their ISDB experience and what they have learned.
  • Have no previous coop experience at the IDB and its affiliates.

Applications are hereby invited from qualified applicants for admission into the following fully accredited National Graduate Diploma (HND) courses of Kenule Beeson Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic (formerly Rivers State Polytechnic) for the Academic session 2021/2022.

Rivers State Polytechnic Available Programs and Duration

  1. School of Management Sciences
    (i) Accounting
    (ii) Banking and Finance
    (iii) Administration and business management
    (iv) Marketing
    (v) Office technology and management
    (vi) Insurance.
  1. Engineering school
    (i) Civil engineering
    (ii) Electrical / electronic engineering
    (iii) Mechanical engineering
  1. School of Applied Sciences
    (i) IT
    (ii) Scientific laboratory technology with the following options Biology / Microbiology, Chemistry / Biochemistry and Physics with electronics.
    (iii). Statistics.
  1. School of Environmental Technology
    (i) Architecture
    (ii) Succession and management and evaluation
    (iii) Surveying and geoinformatics
    (iv) Urban and regional planning.

DURATION OF PROGRAMS: The National Higher Diploma Program (HND) is scheduled to last two academic sessions of two semesters each.

KENPOLY HND Admission Requirements

The minimum conditions for admission to the Higher National Diploma are:

(i) National Diploma (ND) from Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori or other recognized and accredited polytechnic institution, with a minimum score of LOWER CREDIT in the relevant discipline.

(ii) Possess the conditions for admission to the corresponding national diploma program (ND).

(iii) Have a professional experience credited to one year in an industrial, industrial or commercial establishment.

(iv) In exceptional cases, ND holders with a successful completion (GPA of 2.00-2.49) on the ND exam with two or more years of related experience in the specific fields may be considered for the admission to the HND program.

How to Apply Ken Saro-Wiwa Poly HND Admission Form

STEP 1: Candidates interested in HND and Pre-ND programs at Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori should go to any branch of union Bank & FCMB At national scale make the payment of N16, 300 (N15,000 for the form, the access fees to the N1000 portal and the N300 bank fees). The candidate must provide the following details:
UTME registration number
Last name
E-mail
Phone number and any other details

2ND STEP: After making the payment, the bank issues a receipt with a confirmation number to the candidate.

STEP 3: The candidate will visit the Rivers State Polytechnic Admission Portal home page at ecampus.kenpoly.edu.ng/?redirect=ecampus/applications/index.php

  • Enter the confirmation number appearing on your bank printing in the box provided and click on “submit”.
  • If the payment is successful, you will be prompted to create a password profile that you will use for other logins.
  • Log in again using your UTME number, and the password you created and the full application form will open. Fill in the Applicant Information Form.

(Please make sure to provide an active email address and phone number)

STEP 4: If successful, you will receive an SMS alert.

STEP 5: Print a copy of the online application form to keep. Cross-reference the printed form to ensure that the information provided is correct. You can log back in to make any observed corrections. Sign out.

STEP 6: You will be contacted in due course in case of success.
