IS THE IMSU ADMISSION LIST EXCLUDED?

We are pleased to inform you that Imo State University (IMSU) has published the admission list for the 2020/2021 semester for all lots. This notice was made to the general public via the official website of the University today.

Imo State University Owerri, the IMSU admission list for the 2020/2021 academic session is now on JAMB and on the school portal.

NOTE: The list will only contain the names of admitted candidates offered to Imo State University through JAMB (UTME and direct entry candidates).

How to check the IMSU / Status 2020/2021 Admission List.

Applicants can check their IMSU admission list / status in two different ways.

One checks through the Jamb portal and the other through the school admission portal as shown below.

How to check IMSU admission status

Follow the step-by-step guide below to check your IMSU admission status through the Jamb portal.

  1. Go to the IMSU Admission Status Check Portal at https://www.imsu.edu.ng
  2. Click on ‘Check admission status‘.
  3. Enter your JAMB registration number in the required column.
  4. Finally, click on ‘Search‘to access your IMSU admission status.

Below are the steps to check your IMSU 2020/2021 admission status on the JAMB CAPS portal.

ALTERNATIVELY, you can also access your IMSU admission status from the JAMB admission status verification portal, by following the procedure described below:

  1. Go jamb.org.ng/efacility.
  2. Log in to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
  3. Scroll down then locate and click on the ‘Check admission status‘ tab.
  4. To select your exam year and enter your registration number in the required columns.
  5. Finally, click on ‘Check admission status‘to access your IMSU admission status.

JAMB CAPS admission status and their meaning.

The JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) is an admissions processing system intended to ensure the quality control, transparency and credibility of the admissions process.

JAMB CAPS provides a “marketplace” in the JAMB portal where institutions can go and “ask for students in Nigeria who mark their cut-off points.

If admission is offered to you on the JAMB CAPS portal, you can choose to accept or decline admission.

Below is the JAMB admission status that you will see on the JAMB CAPS portal and what they mean.

  1. If you see “Not allowed”: This has two (2) interpretations:
  2. Your school has not yet uploaded your contact information for the admission exam.
  3. You have not been considered for admission.
  4. If you see “Admission in progress”: You have fulfilled all the admission requirements. These requirements set by the school on CAPS by the admissions officer include:
    I. Jamb Cut-off Point for your department
    ii. Minimum service score after jamb
    iii. Ordinary level result (WAEC / NECO / NABTEB) ° the one you downloaded from the jamb portal

The JAMB CAPS STATUS “Admission in progress” has 3 meanings as follows:

  1. Offers: This means that you have been suggested by JAMB CAPS on the basis of the criteria programmed by the school on CAPS. The school is expected to upload this list for review.
  2. advised: This step implies that your proposal for admission to the CAPS has been studied and accepted by the school. At this point, the school has admitted you based on the proposal made to them by CAPS. They will forward the list to Jamb for final approval.
  3. Approved: Your admission has been confirmed by JAMB to see if you were on the lists they had offered to the school before. At this point, JAMB asks you to accept or reject the offer. That’s all for “current admission ”.
  4. If you see “Admitted”: At this point, you can accept or refuse your admission.

What to do if IMSU does not admit you

If you used the result wait, you must download your result immediately. Follow the steps below to do so.

How to download the O’Level result on JAMB

  1. Visit a JAMB CBT accredited center or JAMB office or at your nearest JAMB Registration Center / Café.
  2. Make sure you have a copy of your O’level result (WAEC / NECO / NABTEB) along with the email address you used when registering online and your JAMB profile code. .
  3. Once there, request a download of your O’level result on the JAMB portal.

IAUE Qualifying Test for Graduating Students with CGPA of 4.5 and Above

The management of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) has decided to conduct a qualifying test for all graduate students for the year 2021 on a cumulative grade point average of 4.5 points and above.

Concerned that certain factors may have influenced the first-class degrees obtained by some students, the Senate of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education at its statutory meeting on Wednesday July 28, 2021 decided that all students graduate for the year 2021 on a cumulative grade point average of 4.5 points and above should make themselves available on Thursday August 5, 2021 on the main campus of the ICT Center by 11:00 a.m. for a qualifying test.

The Senate made this decision as part of the measures to ensure that these students deserve the status of first-class diploma thus obtained. It is therefore advisable for all concerned to come to the ICT Center for the qualification test in their own interest.

The Senate, however, approved the results of the unaffected students as presented by the deans of the faculties of business studies, education, humanities, natural and applied sciences, social sciences, vocational and technical education.

The President of the Senate and Vice-Chancellor of the IAUE, Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele, praised the Faculty of Business Studies and the Faculty of Education for reporting their results on time and urged others to follow suit.

The Dean of the Postgraduate School, Professor Godspower Irikana, also presented the results of the 2017/2017 PhD, 2018/2019 PhD, 2018/2019 MSc, MPhil 2019/2020 and PGD and PGDE 2019/2020 students. Of the 240 results presented for the studies of the Faculty of Business, 224 students passed, 5 students failed with 11 pending results.

For the Faculty of Education, 224 results were presented, among which 221 students passed, 2 students failed and 1 pending result.

The Faculty of Human Sciences presented 41 results among which 40 students passed, 1 student however failed.

78 results were presented for the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, among which 75 students passed, 3 students failed.

The Faculty of Social Sciences presented 54 results, including 52 successful students and 2 pending.

The Faculty of Vocational and Technical Education presented 16 results, of which 15 students passed and 1 pending result.

In total, 653 results were presented by the dean of the postgraduate school, of which 627 students passed, 11 failed and 15 are pending. The Senate approved the results as presented by the dean of the PG.

The Director of the Continuing Education College, Professor Samuel Amaele, presented the graduation results for 2019/2020 and the additional results which the Senate also approved. The Senate also approved his request to make the local government area of ​​Ahoada East and Bori centers of study for better development of human capital.

The Senate approved the request for an external examiner for the Graduate School of Business presented by Professor Joseph Kinanee.

Professor AM Onyeozu is now head of the adult education department. The Senate approved his appointment as head of the new department.

Members of the Faculty of Business Studies present at the Senate meeting were delighted to have been mandated by the Senate to immediately occupy their new building.

The owners of stores in the new paradise were also mandated by the Senate to occupy their stores.

This is to inform all newly admitted students of the Nigerian Army Biu University (NAUB), that the leadership of the institution has released the date, time and location of the matriculation ceremony. 2020/2021.

Calendar of the NAUB registration ceremony

This is to inform the university community that the registration ceremony for new students (academic session 2021/2022) is scheduled for Saturday August 7, 2021 on the temporary site of the university (football field).

All registered students must assemble at the place of the procession according to their respective faculties before 8:00 a.m. Members of the Senate and Congregation procession will begin at exactly 9.20am.

All new students should note that attendance is MANDATORY and that they will be required to sign the enrollment register immediately after the ceremony.

In view of the above, all new students must complete their registration process by Thursday August 5, 2021.
