Fitness has been defined by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as ‘the ability to perform work satisfactorily’.fitness describes the state of the body,but focuses more specifically on the nervous system,the muscular system and the skeletal system.it checks to know if the systems are working and functioning effectively well.
Most people belive that being healthy and fit are one and the same.in reality,they can be separate state of physical being.you can be very healthy and not fit as well as you can be fit and not healthy. Health and fitness are related.and it is impossible to achieve one without paying attention to the physical fitness is a state of health and wellbeing and more specifically,the ability to perform aspects of sports, occupations and daily activities.physical fitness is generally achieved through proper nutrition, moderate-vigorous physical exercise,and sufficient rest.For physical Fitness’activity to benefit an individual,the exertion triggers a response called a stimulus. Exercise with the correct amount of intensity, duration,and frequency can produce a significant amount of improvement.the person may feel overall better,but the physical effects on the human body take weeks,or months to notice and possibly years for full development.

In one study,people with chronic insufficient sleep,set as six hours of sleep a night or less,were found to be four times more likely to catch a cold compared to those who reported sleeping for seven hours or more a night.Due to the role of sleep in regulating metabolism, insufficient sleep may also play a role I weight gain or impede weight loss.
