Admission requirements at Admiralty University

Admission to the Admiralty University of Nigeria is open to applicants with the required qualifications and subject to a written and / or oral examination as the University may determine.

Admission to the University is open to all without distinction of religion, ethnic group, sex, creed and disability. All applicants for admission to the University must have reached the age of 16.

Admission requirements for Nigeria Admiralty University undergraduate programs are as follows:

  • All admissions to the University must be through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB);
  • To be admitted to 100-level courses (via UTME), applicants must: obtain five (5) credits at SSCE (or equivalent) in relevant subjects, in a maximum of two (2) sessions, including credits in English and in mathematics ; and achieve acceptable points at UTME in the relevant subjects;
  • For admission by direct entry (level 200), candidates must, in addition to having five (5) SSCE credits, obtain at least two (2) level A ‘passes (or its equivalent) in the relevant subjects, or have a ND with credit passes, or have a good first degree in another field as the case may be;
  • Those who meet the preliminary admission requirements will have to undergo a pre-selection exercise (including / or) interview conducted by the University; and
  • The University will only accept transfer students after at least the first two years of its existence.
